Professor Dana York, DDS, MS, PhD, has built a distinguished career at the intersection of medicine, technology, education, humanitarian service, and the arts.

With more than 30 years of clinical and academic experience, she holds advanced qualifications in dentistry, biophysics and cellular technology, laser medicine, and clinical education.

She formerly served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University and has held international honorary academic appointments.

Her career reflects an interdisciplinary approach in which medicine, science, emerging technology, education, humanitarian action, and artistic expression are closely connected.

Scientific Research & Academic Leadership

Research

Professor York’s research centers on laser medicine and photobiomodulation, with applications in periodontology, pain management, inflammation control, oral mucositis, tissue healing, bone regeneration, and regenerative medicine.

Her interdisciplinary work also addresses artificial intelligence, biotechnology, predictive healthcare, and the ethical use of emerging medical technologies.

International Humanitarian Work

Her initiatives have supported children, schools, orphanages, refugees, people with albinism, survivors of trauma, cancer survivors, and victims of gender-based violence across Africa, India, Europe, and the United States.

She has also served as President of the New York Agape Foundation Lions Club.

Artistic Achievements

Professor York is also an accomplished visual artist, recognized for illuminated reverse-glass paintings that unite traditional craftsmanship, sacred symbolism, 24-karat gold leaf, calligraphy, and light.

She also creates sculptures using precious stones. Her artistic practice combines traditional techniques with contemporary expression, bringing together light, symbolism, craftsmanship, and spiritual themes.

Her work has been exhibited in New York, Paris, Cannes, and Monaco.
